About Enchanted Fury
Dedicated to excellence in pet care since 2014
Our Story
Enchanted Fury was founded by Dr. Helena Cartwright, a veterinary professional who spent years working in clinical practice before recognising a significant gap in the market. While veterinary medicine addressed acute health issues effectively, there was little support for the everyday wellness needs that determine quality of life for pets and their owners.
Starting from a modest location in Bristol, Helena assembled a small team of equally passionate professionals who shared her vision: pet care that combined clinical expertise with genuine compassion. The name itself reflects this philosophy – the "fury" representing the fierce dedication to animal welfare, and "enchanted" capturing the joy that comes from working closely with animals.
What began as a specialist grooming service quickly expanded. Clients valued the depth of knowledge the team brought to their work, often asking for guidance on training challenges, dietary concerns, and behavioural issues. Rather than turn these requests away, Helena recruited certified trainers and animal nutritionists, building a comprehensive care practice.
Today, we operate from modern facilities designed specifically with animal comfort in mind. Despite our growth, we've maintained the personal approach that defined our earliest days. Every team member is selected not just for their qualifications, but for their genuine love of animals and commitment to continuous improvement.
What Drives Us
Integrity in Every Interaction
We provide honest advice even when it's not in our immediate commercial interest. If a pet doesn't need a service, we'll say so. If an issue requires veterinary attention beyond our scope, we'll direct you appropriately. Trust is earned through transparency.
Commitment to Learning
Animal science evolves constantly. Our team dedicates time each month to professional development, studying new research, and refining techniques. This investment ensures we're always offering care based on current best practices.
Respect for Animals
Every procedure we perform considers the animal's emotional state and comfort level. We never force cooperation through intimidation or harsh methods. Patience and gentle handling are non-negotiable standards in our practice.
Community Focus
We're part of the communities we serve. Through partnerships with local animal shelters and rescue organisations, we contribute our expertise to help animals who need it most, regardless of their owners' ability to pay.

How We're Different
The pet care industry often operates on volume, processing as many animals as possible in the shortest time. This approach might be profitable, but it compromises the quality of care and creates stressful experiences for animals.
We've deliberately built a different model. Our scheduling allows adequate time for each appointment, ensuring we're never rushing through procedures. This might mean we serve fewer clients in a day, but it results in significantly better outcomes and happier pets.
Similarly, we invest heavily in our team. Every staff member receives ongoing training, has access to industry conferences, and is encouraged to pursue additional certifications. This creates a culture of excellence where best practices are the norm, not the exception.
Our facilities reflect this same philosophy. We've installed sound dampening materials to reduce noise stress, created separate entrance and exit routes to minimise encounters between anxious animals, and maintain strict hygiene protocols that exceed industry standards.
Perhaps most importantly, we listen. Many pet care providers assume they know best and proceed accordingly. We believe owners understand their companions better than anyone and that true expertise means incorporating their insights into our care plans.
Who We Serve
Individual Pet Owners
The majority of our work involves caring for family pets. From puppies experiencing their first grooming to senior animals requiring gentle handling, we provide services that adapt to every life stage.
Show Competitors
We prepare animals for competition, understanding the exacting standards required for breed shows and providing grooming that highlights their best features while maintaining health and comfort.
Rescue Organisations
Through our partnership programme, we help shelters prepare animals for adoption, addressing grooming needs and behavioural issues that improve their chances of finding permanent homes.
Elderly Pet Owners
For clients who may struggle with physical aspects of pet care, we provide essential services that ensure their companions remain well-groomed and healthy despite mobility or health limitations.
